Jason Vertrees

VP, Engineering and Data Science

Jason focused his efforts on computer science, mathematics, and Japanese for his undergraduate work. He then went on to receive a PhD in theoretical and computational biophysics. After that, Jason held a joint postdoctoral researcher position in machine learning at Boston University and Dartmouth College.

Jason's leadership experience began when he held the role of Product Manager and then Director of Product Management at Schrodinger Scientific. Following his entrepreneurial spirit, Jason then joined RealMassive, an early stage startup as its CTO, a position he held for nearly 4 years.

Jason enjoys applying technology to solve business problems. He is currently focused on building and running an amazing engineering team and building a solid cloud-native platform on which Volusion's products will live.
